REGISTRATION

How can I register?

until midnight on June 16th

You can also register at packet pickup the day before the race at Quaker Steak and Lube from 10-2.

We will have race-day registration from 5:30 am - 6:30 am at Quaker Steak and Lube as well.

How late can I register through the mail?

We will accept registrations postmarked by June 15, however if a race sells out, we reserve the right to reject entries received after the point of sell-out.

How many aid stations are on the course?

For the 10 Mile Run: There are 6 along the course, not including the start/finish. Portolets are placed at 9 locations, not including the start/finish

Yes. Each race will be marked with different colored signs

WALKERS

Can I walk the course?

Yes. 10-Miler walkers will begin at 6:00 am. 10K walkers will begin at 6:30. Please e-mail tanya@ohiocanal.org and let her know you will be walking.

We ask walkers and runners not to walk/run two abreast to allow for passing and to avoid congestion on the course. Please be courteous.

What are the age groups and who is eligible?
1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Overall Male & Female (10-Miler and 10K)

Top Master Male & Female (10-Miler and 10K)

1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Male & Female in the following age groups:
19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-99 (Marathon and Half Marathon)

What do runners get?
Each runner will get a short-sleeved technical shirt, bagels and fruit

WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDED SPECTATOR LOCATIONS?

Finish Line - located on West Canal Road. Park at Cinemark and cross street. Be mindful of runners on Towpath between 7 am – 8:00 am

Between the White Bridges that cross over Warner Road.

Near Bacci Park

Below Kreiger Canalway Center – Take 77 to Harvard. Head west on Harvard. Turn left on E. 49th. Go approx. 1/2 mile and turn right into the Metroparks Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation. From the partking lot, walk down the hill to the trail.

MISCELLANEOUS

Are headphones permitted?
Yes. Please be mindful of other runners while wearing them, though!

Are there any road closures?

Cloverleaf Rd – between Granger and West Canal Rd. 6:30 am – 7:15 am
West Canal Road – between I-480 and Golf Dome 6:30 am – 10:30 am
West Canal Road – between Golf Dome and Old Rockside Road 6:30 am – 7:30 am
Old Rockside Road – between Canal and Commerce Park Oval 6:30 am – 7:30 am
Small connector roads between Canal and West Canal from I-480 to Old Rockside Rd – 5:30 am – 10:30 am
Canal Road – between Warner Road and East 71 Street – up to East 49 Street 6:30 am – 7:15 am
Canal Road – between East 71 Street and East 49 Street hill by Kurtz driveway 6:30 am – 7:30 am

Will there be a bag drop?
Yes. There will be a volunteer at the start are with tags and markers. Put your bib number on your tag. It will be sorted numerically at the finish area. We are not responsible for lost/stolen items, but the bags will be watched.

Can I use my own Champion Chip?
We are not using Champion Chips this year. We have moved on to the D-Tag. Click here for for more information on the new D-Tag.

Where and when will the results be posted?
Results will be posted on our website within 24 hours.

How long is the course open?
The course will be supported with aid stations for 3 hours.
